Bookings

What days and times is Saint Lazar’s Hall available for hire?

All the spaces in Saint Lazar’s Hall and the grounds are available for hire during the following times.

Monday – Friday9 am – 9 pm
Saturday1 pm – 9 pm
Sunday3 pm – 9 pm
What is the booking process?
  1. Contact Father Nenad or our venue manager for availability
  2. Book a viewing
  3. Receive a quote
  4. We email our invoice
  5. Full amount to be paid before or on the day of event
What payments methods do we accept?

We only accept bank transfers (BACS), our account details will be provided during the booking process.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you cancel up to 7 days before the date of your booking, we will refund 100% of any payments you made.

If you cancel 6 days or less before the date of your booking, we will retain any payments to cover our cost of reserving your date. Will will offer another date at no extra charge.

What are your insurance requirements?

All events except private engagements (such as birthday parties) must provide evidence of appropriate public liability insurance coverage.

What are the grounds like?

The hall is situated on 4,000 m² of leafy grounds with plenty of trees and greenery including a wooden gazebo. We decorate the grounds with flower pots and hanging baskets during the warmer months. This makes the hall the ideal venue for photography shoots.

Catering

Do you have an alcohol licence?

No; therefore, we are unable to provide alcoholic drinks.

Can we being our own food?

Yes, and you are welcome to use our kitchen surfaces providing it is left clean and nothing is left behind.

Can we being our own alcohol?

Yes, providing it is consumed on the premises and nothing is left behind.

Do you have tea and coffee facilities?

Yes, our kitchen has an electric kettle, tapped water, a fridge, and mugs. Please supply your own tea, coffee, milk, and sugar.

Do you provide soft drinks?

No, we do not provide any soft drinks including tea, coffee, milk, or sugar. You are welcome to bring your own drinks and ingredients providing nothing is left behind.

Does Saint Lazar’s Hall permit the use of its kitchen?

You may only use the tea and coffee making facilities in the kitchen.

Does Saint Lazar’s Hall permit third-party caterers?

Yes, providing they have appropriate public liability insurance cover.

Live entertainment & equipment

Does Saint Lazar’s Hall permit live entertainment?

Yes, you may provide live entertainment in the hall providing it finishes by 8 pm. The hall has the following audio equipment.

  • 8 channel mixing desk
  • 2 Bose 802 Series II speakers
  • PA system with CD player & mobile device cable
What is your PAT certificate policy?

You muse provide valid PAT certificates for any electrical equipment you wish to use.

Transport & accommodation

Is there on-site parking?

The hall has a car park with 24 spaces, which includes 2 spaces for blue badge holders. If the car park is full, please park considerately on the surrounding streets avoiding private roads and blocking driveways. We are not responsible for any damage to motor vehicles left in our car park.

Is the hall near public transport?

The hall is a 5 minute drive from Selly Oak Railway Station. Trains depart from Birmingham New Street Station regularly.

The number 63 bus travels from Birmingham city centre from Moor Street Queensway (stop MS16) to the Bristol Road (A38). Get off at the stop just before Griffins Brook Lane and then it’s a 5 minute walk to the hall. You can also catch the number 63 bus outside Selly Oak railway station.

Are there hotels nearby?

The hall is a 15 minute drive from Birmingham city centre, which has a wide range of hotels.
